LaborX, a platform connecting freelancers with Web3 companies, has expanded its payment options by integrating two major Shibarium tokens. After the recent integration of Shiba Inu (SHIB), LaborX has now added Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) coin as well. Users can now use both of these tokens for payments on the platform.
The company announced the integration with a tweet, stating, 'The meme coin Rock Star band is growing bigger!' Support for SHIB was added in February last year, allowing users to earn SHIB tokens for completing various tasks. Now, users can also pay or get paid in BONE token.
This expansion comes in light of the growing interest in meme coins within the crypto community. LaborX aims to provide opportunities for freelancers in the Web3 sphere and is now capitalizing on the popularity and utility of meme coins like SHIB and BONE.
Additionally, Shibarium, a Layer-2 blockchain platform, has achieved a significant milestone since its launch. The total count of transactions on Shibarium has surpassed 3,000,000, showcasing its increasing adoption. However, the daily transaction count has decreased to around 42,590 from a peak of 200,720 about 10 days ago.
Shibarium enables regular burns of Shiba Inu tokens through transaction fees. Part of the gas fees collected in BONE tokens is converted into SHIB and sent to dead-end wallets. This encourages the reduction of circulating supply and adds value to SHIB token holders.
The recent surge in gas fees on Shibarium sparked a higher burn rate, with the SHIB army removing close to 200 million SHIB from circulation in the past 24 hours. This represents a 535% increase in the burn rate, with a total of 194,116,333 Shiba Inu burned. The platform will continue to track the total SHIB burned weekly.
Overall, the integration of SHIB and BONE tokens on LaborX expands the payment options for freelancers and showcases the growing utility and adoption of meme coins. Shibarium's milestone and increasing burn rate highlight the community's commitment to reducing the circulating supply of Shiba Inu tokens.
